Bernd Sieberg
Bernd Sieberg is Professor of Linguistics at the German Department of the Faculty of Letters, University of Lisbon, where he has taught several disciplines in graduate and post-graduate courses in the past 24 years, among which: German Language, German and General Linguistics, History of German Language, Textual Linguistics, Applied Linguistics for Translation and Language of the Media and TIH (=Technologies of Human Sciences).
He has previously co-edited in 2006 Questions on the Linguistic Sign, proceedings of the International Colloquium held on January 27, 2005 at the Faculty of Letters-University of Lisbon and presently he is co-editing Questions on Language Change, proceedings of the International Colloquium held on November 16, 2006 at the Faculty of Letters-University of Lisbon.
He has published several articles in different European countries in his investigation areas “Spoken Language” and “Language of the New Media”; for example studies of the “Language in Portuguese Weblogs” (International Project of the University of Hannover) and “Language on Telefone” (International Project of the University of Pávia).
