Inês Espada Vieira
Inês Espada Vieira is a lecturer of language and culture (Spanish and Portuguese). She has a master degree on Comparative Literature from the New University of Lisbon and she is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Culture Studies at the Catholic University.
She is a scientific assistant of the Communication and Culture Research Centre (CECC/FCH/UCP). She was the executive coordinator of the institutional presence of Portugal as the invited country in the Iberian Book Fair «Liber» (2002) in Barcelona. She has co-organized major international colloquiums as for instance: Spanish Civil War: 70 years after and Translation and Censorship (2006) and Baudelaire and the Posterities of the Modern (2007).
She has published papers on Portuguese literature and culture and on the Spanish novelist Gonzalo Torrente Ballester, including the preface for the Portuguese edition of Memory of an inconformist (2006). She is the co-editor of Guerra Civil de Espanha: cruzando fronteiras 70 anos depois (2007, with Jorge Fazenda Lourenço).
